MERA is celebrating 25 years this year! Can you believe it?
We are excited to present a number of special events to celebrate MERA’s 25th Anniversary and we need your support to celebrate MERA’s 25th in style! Help us by donating $25 to mark 25 years in the community. This is a special event as the founder and creative juggernaut Ankaret Dean will be honoured for her contributions.
Here are some of the upcoming events to mark this significant milestone
Thursday April 11 – Garden Day – 25 plants – for Garden Day on April 11, we feature our gardening experts and seedling exchange. This year we will commemorate MERA’s 25th Anniversary by planting 25 indigenous plants to recognize MERA’s past and look forward to its future.
Sunday April 21 – A special concert with Valdy – We are pleased to have, one of our favourite performers, Juno Award winner, Valdy, to celebrate MERA at McDonalds Corners Ag Hall on Sunday, April 21.
Monday April 29 through to Friday May 3 – Mural of Hope – A five day community event, from April 29 through May 3, join Ankaret Dean, mural Artist Marie-France Kinski and MERA members to paint the Mural of Hope be launched on MERA’s 25th Anniversary Day.
Saturday June 22 – MERA 25th Anniversary Family Day – Join us on Saturday, June 22 to celebrate MERA with a day of outdoor fun, food, music and the unveiling of the Mural of Hope at MERA.
