Blue Jeans Classical – Létourneau & Donkin – October 14th

The Blue Jeans Classical music series is proud to announce the concert of the talented duo of Gertrude Létourneau, flutist, and Catherine Donkin, pianist, on Sunday, October 14th at 2:00 pm at the MERA Schoolhouse in McDonald’s Corners.

Ms Donkin is an active teacher and performer in Ottawa, whose performance career has seen her perform at Carnegie Hall and at the Grieg International Piano Competition. Along with her busy career in her private piano teaching studio, she teaches Performance at Carleton University and performs regularly with chamber music groups.

Gertrude Létourneau is both a flutist and a singer, and has performed right across Canada. She performs regularly in Ottawa and area, including concerts at the National Arts Centre and the Canadian War Museum. She has received training in Ottawa, Montreal and London, England where she obtained a Licentiate in Performance from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

As always, there will be refreshments available at the Wizards’ Cafe before the performance and at half-time.

Tickets are $27.50 available in advance from Ticketsplease either online at Tickets Please , by telephone at 613-485-6434 or in person at the Matheson House Museum in Perth. If ordered online or by phone your tickets will be waiting for you at MERA the afternoon of the performance. Tickets are $28.00 at the door while availability lasts. Students 16 and under are free.
