Recorder Lessons with Helen Mogford

Starting Friday, September 8th

Intermediate Level 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM

Beginner Level 2:15 PM - 3:00 PM

Beginner - Level 2 Recorder 2:15 - 3:00 PM

Learn to play the recorder in a small group. This easy to play instrument offers quick rewards for making music on your own or with others.

The class this fall will include those who played last winter and spring and want a review.  Therefore, a basic knowledge of how to read music is useful. If you are new to the recorder and keen to join the existing students closer to their level, a couple of starter lessons could happen this summer  in order to get you going.

There are two sizes of recorders you can choose from to begin playing, the higher pitched soprano or the lower alto.  Please consult with me before buying a recorder.

Intermediate Recorder 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM

Those who already know most of the notes on the recorder and who can read music for those notes are welcome to join this group that has been playing for a year and a half. For this class, soprano, alto, tenor or bass players are welcome.

10 weekly lessons are at MERA, Friday afternoons, starting in September, with a few gaps when I am away.  If you want to join us, please let me know!

10 lessons for $100 for members, $120 for non members.  No drop-in rate is available this session, but if you have financial difficulties, please let me know.
