In the spirit of community building, The Steady Way Community Café is a regular weekend cafe that operates inside MERA during the off-season of the Farmers’ Market.
Offerings include fair-trade coffee, espresso and organic home-made goods. Lunch items include a choice of soups and sandwiches. Its menu choices are inspired by supporting local, and/or fair-trade, organic products as much as possible.
The café contributes to MERA's mandate to bring people of all ages in the community together, support existing (and new) arts and recreation activities, and further the well-being of our community.
The cafe is open every Saturday at the MERA schoolhouse from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. until April 21/18.
Pictured below are Sean Buchanan-Gabriel, Aynsley Gabriel-Buchanan, Armida and Youssef Sawan. The foursome, along with their families, childcare providers and local producers operate and contribute to 'The Steady Way Community Cafe'. All monies raised by the cafe go back into the community in a variety of ways which includes supporting MERA, children’s activities and local organizations.
Drop by and check out what is happening at MERA! We would love to see you!
