Meet the Artist at MERA on October 7th
The Art of Liz Bonser
The Art of Liz Bonser
For the entire month of October, the art of Liz Bonser will be on display at the MERA Schoolhouse. You are invited to join us at MERA for the show’s opening event on October 7th.
From her studio in Sharbot Lake, Paverpol artist and instructor Liz Bonser creates her colourful sculptures. Paverpol is a water based decoration and textile hardener. Materials that are hardened or sealed with Paverpol can be placed outdoors all year round no matter the weather making it the perfect way to create garden sculptures. After retirement, Liz was looking for an outlet and took a beginner course with five of her female friends. Liz loved working in this medium and it took her six months to become a certified instructor, learning all of the applications. Once certified, she renovated her garage into a home studio and now teaches beginner to advanced workshops.
You are invited to join Liz at the MERA Schoolhouse in McDonald’s Corners (974 Dalhousie Concession 9A) on Saturday October 7th from 10 am to 2 pm to meet the artist, view their works and purchase that “must have” piece. To arrange to see the exhibition at times other than the Meet the Artist event, please contact Wayne Stryde gwstryde@outlook.com.
