Several folks came out early to get a good spot and catch up with friends & neighbours before the first outdoor movie at MERA on Friday, August 14. By showtime at 8:30 there was an all age gathering that had quickly demolished all of the popcorn and was eager for the night’s feature: GhostBusters!
We were so pleased that many young folks came out, as well as several dogs. That’s all the encouragement we needed to schedule our next movie: The Secret Life of Pets, weather permitting, for 8:30 Friday August 21.
“The antics of pets when their owners aren’t looking gives everyone something to laugh at and relate to whether you have a pet or not. If you’ve ever wondered what they do when you’re not home, The Secret Life of Pets shows the whole gamut of funny bad habits, embedded in a sometimes frantic adventure.” (Review posted by Al & Linda 2016)
As before, this is a free showing. There will be popcorn and drinks available, or bring your own snacks. Please bring your own chair or blanket and come prepared to cover up as the evenings can turn cool now that summer is winding down. As per the new normal, please observe the appropriate social distancing and bring your mask, which is mandatory if you wish to use the washroom in the building.
See you Friday!
