Meet the Artists at MERA: The MERA Weavers

Meet the Artists at MERA May 9th
The MERA Heritage Weavers
The MERA Heritage Weavers are a showcasing their work at MERA 974 Dalhousie Concession 9A in McDonalds Corners for MERA’s May art exhibition. We invite you to the show opening at our Meet the Artist Event in Dean Hall, Saturday May 9th from 12 pm to 2 pm.
Weaving has been a tradition at MERA since 1998. Over the years, this group has offered demonstrations and showcased their work at local fairs, craft shows and places like Upper Canada Village. This exhibition is an opportunity to see the many and varied textiles produced by the ancient art of weaving. There will be rugs, towels, scarves, tote bags and blankets on display in both contemporary and heritage designs. These were created by MERA’s weavers, many of whom have spent years developing their knowledge and skills.
The MERA Schoolhouse is located at 974 Dalhousie Concession 9A, McDonald’s Corners. You can view the exhibit for the entire month May. In fact, why not swing by during MERA’s Saturday Café from 10 am to 2 pm? To arrange to see the exhibition at other times, please contact Tim Booth at timothybooth9@gmail.com.
