We are so excited about our summer event “Soaring Through Summer” coming up on August 8. This is a one day mini festival in two parts and two locations. It combines music, art, games, crafts and talks and covers all things dealing with flight. Overall, we’ll have a lot of fun.

We thank all those who have helped get us organized so far and to Perth and District Community Foundation for making this happen.

As this event has lots of arms and legs, we need a few more volunteers to help make this happen.

On August 8, we will need volunteers to help our event run smoothly. Join us for the fun. Note, MERA is a registered charity, so this is an excellent opportunity if you or a family member is looking for volunteer hours to complete secondary school requirements.

Can you take a few hours to help out? Or if you want to bake something, the MERA Café will be running from 4 pm on August 8. Cookies are appreciated. WE will be working on August 7 to set up the Café.

Volunteers are need at two locations on August 8.

From 9-4 we need volunteers at the McDonalds Corners Ag Hall to help set up, help facilitators at the craft tables, assist with games and stage set up and help with traffic and visitors.

From 2 to 6 pm, we will need volunteers at MERA Schoolhouse to set up for our evening concert, help with the food and refreshments and assist guests.
