We are so pleased about our recent event “Soaring Through Summer” held on August 8. This one day mini festival was in two parts and two locations combining music, art, games, crafts and talks and coverjng all things dealing with flight. Overall, we had a lot of fun.
We thank all those who have helped get us organized so far and to Perth and District Community Foundation for making this happen.
This event has lots of arms and legs, so thrilled with volunteers and collaboration with the AgHall.
A special shout out to Lyndal Neelin, Molly Forsythe, Doug Findlay, Barry Russell, Keith Johnson and Erica Riley, Gwen Neelin, Julie Berthiaume, Tom and Gloria Shoebridge, PJ and David Wilson, Helen Mogford, the volunteers and vendors at the AgHall. The ice cream guy, Shree of Perth’s Indian Flavours and our student volunteers, Phoenix and Arjun. A special thank you to Heather Vriends and the Art Camp kids for their spectacular banner.
Thank you to artist Michel Flahault for donating his painting for raffle and congratulations to raffle winner, Terri Henderson. The speakers were amazing special thanks to Dean Spence (local drones) and Janet McCullough (on birdwatching). The music was wonderful and truly appreciated, thank you to the artists – Steve MacDonalds, Frets & Keys, Peter Brown and TRiPod for making our hearts soar!
