As part of MERA’s Annual Garden Day on May 23rd, actor, writer and environmentalist, Dale Colleen Hamilton, presented a one-woman show to top off our annual Garden Day. It was a wonderful day, and we had a variety of events, including seedling and plant sale (with a live Appalachian band), wonderful speakers and treats and lunch at MERA Cafe.

We thank Dale Hamilton and our speakers – Karen Akua Hinds – on mushroom cultivation; Shelley Ball on promoting ecological restoration through native plant gardening; Bob Whitmore on muck soil management; and Tim Booth on Ecology and us.
