MERA Art Circle

The MERA Art Circle is open to all!

Perhaps you are a visual artist looking for a new environment to stimulate you creativity. Or perhaps you would like to get back into creating art again now that you have more time. Or perhaps you just want to try something new and creative, no matter your level of experience in the visual arts.

All that you require is an interest in being creative and a MERA membership. The Art Circle meets the first and third Friday of each month, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Members are encouraged to explore their artistic interests in whatever medium they chose.

Be prepared to learn from and be inspired by what others in the group are working on. Informal presentations or technical instructions to the group will occur when a member feels they have something to offer. However there will be plenty of time to work on your own piece and trade ideas and techniques with others in a casual way.

After only 5 years in existence the group has hosted 3 art shows at MERA displaying a delightful variety of works. The work at each successive show has shown a marked improvement and has sold very well.

A new initiative this spring will be structured classes and demonstrations presented by a professional artist. In order to not interfere with the regular meetings these classes will be held on the second and fourth Friday of the month. These classes are optional, and a fee is required to attend.
